Banking & Finance Associate – Luxembourg

About the role

Our client, an international law firm, is seeking a Banking & Finance Associate to strengthen its Luxembourg team. The successful candidate will work with a diverse portfolio of national and international clients operating in the financial, real‑estate and energy sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on financial and regulatory matters, including capital markets, securitisation and cross‑border financing arrangements.
• Support a broad range of banking and finance transactions such as corporate lending, acquisition finance, asset‑based lending, project finance, public‑private partnerships, structured finance and securitisations.
• Assist financial institutions with regulated activities, regulator liaison, licence applications, product launches, corporate governance, compliance issues and M&A transactions.

Required profile

• Law degree (LL.M or equivalent) with a focus on Banking & Finance law – an asset.
• Fluency in English.
• Admission to the Bar in Luxembourg or eligibility for admission.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a Luxembourg law firm’s banking/finance practice.
• Strong legal analysis and drafting abilities.
• Motivation to learn and develop further.
