Assistant Vice President – Fund Accounting (Private Assets)

About the role

Citco is seeking an Assistant Vice President to lead its Private Equity Fund Accounting team in Luxembourg. You will work with a group of seasoned professionals delivering award‑winning services to blue‑chip private equity clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of supervisors and accounting specialists, providing mentorship and training.
• Develop expertise in private‑equity client structures and accounting processes.
• Manage client deliverables, monitor service level agreements, and ensure compliance with KPIs and KRIs.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly reporting pack preparation.
• Process client capital activities such as calls, distributions, and transfers.
• Review and prepare management fee, waterfall, and carry calculations.
• Prepare accounts and financial statements for complex private‑equity structures.
• Engage in local and global projects, and support onboarding of new fund structures.
• Maintain strong client relationships and act as liaison to internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting operations or practice.
• At least 3 years of experience in private‑equity accounting (preferred).
• Strong communication and written skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables.
• Excellent customer‑relationship capabilities and a collaborative team mindset.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of private‑equity fund structures and accounting processes.
• Experience with management fee, waterfall, and carry calculations.
• Ability to prepare complex financial statements and reporting packs.
• Proficiency in monitoring KPIs, KRIs, and service level agreements.
