Assistant Manager Payment Operations

About the role

The Assistant Manager Payment Operations will support Apex Group's Luxembourg hub by overseeing the end‑to‑end payment process for a diverse client base. You will act as the primary contact for payment‑related queries and ensure compliance with internal policies and AML regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute client payments accurately and on time, verifying payment instructions, intermediary banks and terms.
• Supervise junior payment team members and collaborate with accountants, corporate secretarial and other internal functions.
• Maintain diligent processing of transactions in line with internal procedures and AML requirements.
• Liaise with clients, property managers, asset managers, legal advisors and other service providers.
• Coordinate with banks for online access, payment execution, balance checks and issue resolution.
• Assist in designing and implementing an updated payment preparation framework.
• Train new joiners on payment operations and related processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, business administration, finance or a related discipline.
• 4‑5 years of experience in payment transaction processing, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making skills with a structured approach to work.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of SWIFT and treasury platforms.
• Understanding of AML regulations and internal payment procedures.
