Actuarial Manager – Non‑Life Insurance & Risk Modelling

About the role

PwC Luxembourg is seeking a Manager to join its Actuarial and Risk Modelling Services (ARMS) team. You will work on complex non‑life insurance and reinsurance projects across Luxembourg and Europe, delivering consulting services that span reserving, pricing, capital modelling and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide actuarial consulting on risk pricing, reinsurance optimisation, business plan development and claims reserve reviews.
• Perform IBNR reserving analysis, back‑testing and valuation with a focus on business drivers and regulatory adequacy.
• Lead Solvency II reviews, including balance‑sheet preparation, QRTs and ORSAs.
• Support projects related to IFRS 17 accounting, transfer pricing, POG/VFM and other insurance regulations.
• Collaborate with audit, finance and technology teams to embed actuarial expertise in transformation programmes.
• Deliver actuarial due‑diligence for M&A, portfolio transfers and corporate finance transactions.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
• Several years of experience in non‑life insurance or reinsurance actuarial work.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate technical results into business recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
