Accounting Manager – Real Estate Portfolio

About the role

We are an international real‑estate investment firm seeking an Accounting Manager to join our Luxembourg finance team. You will be responsible for the accounting, reporting, treasury and financial control of a portfolio of French real‑estate investment entities while supervising an accountant based in Paris.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounting and financial reporting for French real‑estate SPVs, holding companies and cross‑border vehicles.
• Supervise and mentor one Accountant in Paris, ensuring timely deliverables.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, intercompany transactions, fixed assets and loan accounting.
• Lead preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Coordinate quarter‑end and year‑end closing, including accruals, provisions, reconciliations and cut‑off procedures.
• Monitor cash positions, treasury activities and bank reconciliations for the French portfolio.
• Collaborate with local accounting firms, property managers, tax advisors and auditors.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow monitoring and variance analysis.
• Participate in acquisitions, disposals, refinancing and corporate restructurings from an accounting perspective.
• Ensure compliance with Luxembourg and French accounting, tax and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of real‑estate investment structures (SPVs, holding companies, cross‑border vehicles).
• Previous experience supervising accounting staff or managing external service providers.
• Solid understanding of French accounting frameworks and Luxembourg reporting standards.
