Accounting Manager – Capital Markets

About the role

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a portfolio of structured finance and debt clients within our Capital Markets division. The role involves delivering accurate accounting records, preparing complex financial statements and providing high‑quality management accounts while guiding junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Lead accounting and administration for an allocated client portfolio.
• Prepare final bookkeeping entries and complex financial statements under LUX GAAP and IFRS.
• Review reconciliations, interim reports, distribution calculations and interest accruals.
• Oversee VAT/TAX returns and regulatory reporting.
• Coach and supervise Accountants and Junior Accountants.
• Liaise with clients and auditors to ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
• Support the Manager with daily operations, team development and budgeting.
• Assist with ad‑hoc tasks and cross‑jurisdictional accounting projects.
• Maintain confidentiality and data integrity at all times.

Required profile

• Fully qualified ACCA/ACA or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience preparing client accounts.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS; knowledge of LUX GAAP is an advantage.
• Experience in finance, accounting or auditing, preferably with exposure to capital markets.
• Ability to work with a variety of accounting software.
