Accountant – Finance Department

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join the Finance Department of Mitsubishi UFJ Investor Services and Banking (Luxembourg) S.A. The role involves ensuring accurate and efficient execution of all accounting tasks across the bank, its Irish branch, and the management company.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily controls, monitor P&L and foreign‑exchange positions.
• Maintain banking accounts, including opening, amending and closing procedures.
• Validate general expenses and process payments through Novabank.
• Support monthly and annual closing activities for the bank, Irish branch and management company.
• Reconcile BCEE Nostro account and record entries in Olympic and Nova Bank systems.
• Manage payroll accounting processes and related entries.
• Monitor suspense accounts, BCL reserve and prepare Balance of Payments reports.
• Ensure timely tax processing and payment.
• Provide backup for commission receivables/payables and calculate provisions for general expenses.
• Prepare monthly budget follow‑up reports and control foreign‑exchange coverage for bookings.
• Assist the Head of Finance during statutory audits and on operational projects.
• Support continuous improvement of internal procedures and provide guidance on accounting standards.

Required profile

• More than 3 years of accounting experience.
• Ability to work under pressure with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and proficiency in English; French is an asset.
• High professional consciousness, discretion and initiative.

What we offer

• Salary range: 76,000 – 81,000 EUR per year.
