Accountant – Finance Department

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join the Finance Department of Mitsubishi UFJ Investor Services and Banking (Luxembourg) S.A. The role will support the Accounting Section in daily operations, month‑end closing and regulatory reporting for the bank, its Irish branch and the management company.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily accounting tasks, monitor P&L and foreign‑exchange positions.
• Maintain banking accounts, including opening, amendment and closure procedures.
• Validate general expenses and process payments through Novabank.
• Participate in monthly and annual closing activities for the bank, Irish branch and management company.
• Reconcile BCEE Nostro account and record entries in Olympic and Nova Bank systems.
• Manage payroll accounting, suspense accounts and BCL reserve maintenance.
• Prepare monthly Balance of Payments reports and ensure timely tax payments.
• Support budgeting, provision calculations and foreign‑exchange coverage monitoring.
• Provide backup for commission receivables/payables and assist the Head of Finance during statutory audits.
• Contribute to process improvement and offer guidance on accounting standards.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Ability to work under pressure with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills in English; French is an asset.
• High level of discretion, efficiency and initiative.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Solid knowledge of Luxembourg accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Understanding of banking operations and related financial systems.
