Platform Engineer

About the role

Hydrosat is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build and operate the cloud infrastructure that powers its large‑scale Earth observation data pipelines. You will work in a fast‑moving start‑up environment, collaborating with software, product and data‑science teams to deliver reliable, secure and scalable services.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, automate and manage AWS cloud resources using Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools.
• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multi‑environment deployments (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Operate and optimise Kubernetes clusters for cost‑effectiveness and scalability.
• Implement logging, monitoring and alerting solutions (Grafana, DataDog, CloudWatch, Prometheus) to ensure high availability.
• Manage networking, ingress/egress and secure connectivity across environments.
• Drive DevSecOps best practices and mentor team members.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or related roles.
• Strong background in AWS and cloud‑native architectures.
• Proven ability to take ownership of infrastructure components from concept to production.
• Self‑motivated problem‑solver with a collaborative mindset.
