IT Technician – Cabling & Datacenter

About the role

As an IT Technician specializing in cabling and datacenter operations, you will be a key player in deploying, maintaining, and supporting the client’s IT and network infrastructure in Luxembourg. You will work on‑site at the client’s premises, collaborating with a 70‑person Operations team spread across three countries.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and modify switches, routers, security devices and Wi‑Fi solutions.
• Maintain the overall health of the IT environment and perform routine capacity planning.
• Create and keep up‑to‑date technical diagrams, documentation and operational procedures.
• Produce detailed performance and resource utilization reports, recommending improvements.
• Manage the full asset lifecycle: reception, installation, relocation, de‑commissioning and inventory tracking.

Required profile

• Autonomous, reliable and accountable with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Fluent in French; English is an asset.
• Willingness to work on‑site full‑time with no remote option.

Required skills

• Experience with data‑centre infrastructures or large‑scale computer rooms.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling.
• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking and Wi‑Fi technologies.
• Proficiency in IT asset inventory management, CMDB handling and reporting.
• Ability to produce technical documentation and capacity‑planning reports.
