Global Director Procurement

About the role

Armacell is seeking a Global Director of Procurement to lead its worldwide procurement function, overseeing a €300‑400 million annual spend in a complex, international manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing global procurement organization across regions and categories.
• Define and govern the global procurement strategy aligned with financial, strategic and sustainability objectives.
• Build, manage and deliver the annual global procurement budget, including people and cost responsibilities.
• Drive procurement performance through KPIs and KAIs such as savings, value creation and commercial improvements.
• Standardise and continuously improve global procurement processes and governance.
• Lead digitalisation initiatives with IT to enhance transparency and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Lead strategic sourcing and category management for direct and indirect spend, balancing cost, quality and supply security.
• Oversee global supplier and contract management, including negotiations, risk mitigation and performance management.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of senior procurement leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise in both direct and indirect procurement categories.
• Experience leading global, cross‑regional procurement teams.
• Strong background in procurement processes, contract management and complex negotiations.
• Solid financial, analytical and performance‑management capabilities.
• Fluency in English and willingness to travel internationally up to 50 %.
