Director, Manufacturing Site Operations

About the role

The Manufacturing Site Operations Director will lead all manufacturing activities at the Luxembourg facility, ensuring safety, reliability, efficiency and sustainability. Reporting to the Senior Director of Multi‑Site Operations, the role also serves as Managing Director of the Luxembourg legal entity, representing the site to internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the site’s production, maintenance, engineering, quality, technology and support functions to meet customer commitments.
• Champion a culture of safety, process safety, environmental stewardship and operational discipline.
• Develop and sustain maintenance and reliability programs that maximize asset performance.
• Oversee capital investment planning and project execution to support growth and compliance.
• Ensure products meet quality standards, regulatory expectations and customer requirements.
• Build, coach and develop a high‑performing leadership team and drive employee engagement.
• Represent the Luxembourg legal entity with government authorities, regulators and community stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or related) or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 15 + years progressive manufacturing experience in chemicals or specialty materials, with at least 10 years in senior leadership.
• Deep knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, equipment and technologies.
• Proven ability to lead cultural transformation, talent development and change management.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and cost optimization.
• Fluency in German and English; additional European languages a plus.
