E&A Project Manager – Freelance (Luxembourg)

About the role

We are seeking a freelance Electrical & Automation (E&A) Project Manager to support a critical engineering design phase for a new overhead crane installation in Luxembourg. The assignment starts in August and runs until the end of the year, with possible extensions into the following year.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the engineering design of the overhead crane system, taking technical decisions on electrical and automation aspects.
• Coordinate on‑site activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget for projects valued under €10 million.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.
• Perform work at height (up to 15 m) when required for installation planning.

Required profile

• Strong background in electrical or automation engineering.
• Industrial experience, preferably in heavy‑industry environments.
• Proven experience managing projects with budgets below €10 million.
• Fluent in both French and English.
• Comfortable working at height and on‑site in a construction environment.
