Banking & Payments Trainee – Luxembourg

About the role

The Banking and Payments Trainee will support the Operations team in Luxembourg with day‑to‑day payment and banking tasks. Working under close supervision, the role offers structured exposure to banking platforms, payment processes and internal controls while developing core operational skills.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing bank payments on various platforms under supervision.
• Support the creation of payment packs and coordination with authorised signatories.
• Input payments on online banking systems and monitor completion.
• Record, code and upload invoices into the SUN system.
• Liaise with clients on basic payment‑related queries.
• Maintain bank signatory lists and related documentation.
• Administer user access and permissions for online banking platforms in line with policies.
• Execute ad‑hoc administrative and operational tasks as required.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree in business studies, economics or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow processes accurately and manage basic priorities.
• Proactive, reliable, team‑oriented and client‑focused attitude.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French or German is a plus.
