Accountant – Private Equity (Luxembourg)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Accountant to join a leading private equity firm’s finance team in Luxembourg. The role supports the accounting and financial operations of both SPV and General Partner entities, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Bookkeep bank statements, invoices, transactions and accrued interest in the accounting system.
• Prepare recharge invoices and allocate costs.
• Compile annual accounts, interim financial statements and management reports.
• Develop budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and cash‑flow statements.
• Process online payments with local banks.
• Liaise regularly with banks, auditors, lawyers and tax advisors.
• Prepare corporate tax returns and VAT filings.
• Handle various administrative finance tasks.

Required profile

• Relevant professional qualification in finance, accounting or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience, preferably in a private‑equity boutique or similar environment.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BOB 50 accounting software.
• Experience using the Multiline banking platform.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
