Payments Finance & Reconciliation Manager

About the role

Paytm, India’s leading mobile payments and financial services company, is expanding its finance team in Luxembourg. The Payments Finance & Reconciliation Manager will own end‑to‑end accounting, safeguarding and reconciliation of payment transactions, ensuring accurate financial reporting under Lux GAAP and IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Own full‑cycle payment transaction accounting, including recognition of volumes, merchant fees, interchange, scheme charges and related revenues and costs.
• Map and record payment processor and scheme settlement reports in the general ledger and oversee settlement, safeguarding and suspense accounts.
• Review and sign‑off daily and periodic reconciliations between internal ledgers, processor reports, settlement accounts and bank statements, escalating and resolving breaks.
• Support payroll accounting, statutory deductions and ensure timely, accurate processing with payroll providers.
• Assist monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, financial reporting under Lux GAAP/IFRS and regulatory reporting to CSSF.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for audits, ensuring audit‑ready controls and supporting external and internal audit activities.
• Produce management information on transaction volumes, revenues, costs and reconciliation performance for board and budgeting purposes.
• Drive automation of high‑volume reconciliation and accounting processes and help embed financial controls into new payment products.
