Valuation Consultant – Alternative Investments

About the role

We are seeking a Valuation Consultant to join a leading global investment platform’s alternatives business in Luxembourg. The role offers exposure to a broad range of private market assets, including private equity, private credit, infrastructure and real estate, and involves full‑cycle valuation responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform valuations of private market investments using recognised methodologies such as market multiples, DCF and comparable transactions.
• Review financial and operational performance of portfolio companies and underlying assets.
• Develop, maintain and enhance valuation models and supporting analysis.
• Conduct market research, peer‑group analysis and transaction benchmarking.
• Prepare valuation reports and documentation for internal stakeholders, auditors and investors.
• Support quarterly and annual valuation cycles.
• Collaborate with investment, finance, risk and fund management teams to ensure robust valuation processes.
• Contribute to process‑improvement initiatives and best‑practice development.

Required profile

• Experience in valuations, transaction services, deals advisory, corporate finance or investment analysis.
• Exposure to alternative investments and private markets is highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of valuation methodologies including market multiples, discounted cash flow and comparable transactions.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent are beneficial.
