Valuation Analyst – Alternative Investment Funds

About the role

Join a leading alternative investment management platform in Luxembourg as a Valuation Analyst. You will support the independent valuation oversight framework for a variety of alternative investment funds, gaining exposure to valuation methodologies, portfolio analysis, and fund reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal departments, portfolio teams, and external service providers throughout the valuation cycle.
• Prepare and review valuation documentation, analysis, and reports for senior management and governing bodies.
• Analyse financial models, valuation techniques, assumptions, and underlying portfolio data.
• Support the development and enhancement of valuation methodologies, controls, and reporting tools.
• Monitor compliance with Luxembourg regulatory requirements related to valuation governance.
• Collaborate with risk, finance, and control functions to maintain a robust valuation framework.
• Assist with internal and external audit processes and ad‑hoc valuation projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting or a related field.
• Initial professional experience through an internship or junior role in valuation, corporate finance, investment management, or fund administration in Luxembourg.
• Strong analytical mindset with keen interest in financial modelling and quantitative analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately with complex datasets.
• Well‑organised, able to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of programming or data‑analysis tools such as Python, VBA, or SQL (advantageous).
