Tyvek® R&D Laboratory Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Tyvek® R&D Laboratory Technician to join DuPont’s Tyvek® Healthcare & Water Technologies team. The technician will support the R&D group in developing non‑woven membrane solutions, ensuring laboratory safety and assisting with experimental work. The role involves working with advanced materials and contributing to product and process technology development.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safe working practices in laboratory and production environments.
• Identify and correctly use personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals and microbiological media.
• Support the Tyvek® R&D team in daily laboratory activities and sample preparation.
• Participate in technical programs focused on product and process technology development.

Required profile

• Background in materials, polymer science, chemistry, chemical or mechanical engineering.
• Strong understanding of fundamental scientific and engineering principles.
• Ability to work in a diverse, collaborative R&D environment.

Required skills

• Laboratory safety procedures.
• Handling of chemicals and microbiological media.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Basic knowledge of polymer and non‑woven membrane materials.
