Quality Assurance Manager – Aviation Maintenance

About the role

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead the QA function for Part‑CAMO, Part‑145 and Part‑147 activities at Cargolux Maintenance Center. You will ensure compliance with EASA regulations, drive continuous improvement, and foster a proactive quality culture across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve the Quality Assurance System for Part‑CAMO, Part‑145 and Part‑147 operations.
• Ensure compliance with EASA regulations, company procedures and safety standards.
• Monitor corrective and preventive actions from audits, investigations and occurrences.
• Act as focal point for regulatory authority audits and inspections.
• Oversee personnel authorisations, training and competency validation.
• Manage supplier evaluation, approval, performance monitoring and maintain the approved vendor list.
• Supervise Airworthiness Review activities and ensure compliance with EASA requirements.
• Lead, develop and set objectives for the Quality Assurance team, promoting a proactive quality culture.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering or technical degree, or aircraft maintenance technician qualification.
• 8‑10 years of experience in aviation maintenance, continuing airworthiness, quality assurance or regulatory compliance.
• 3‑5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Hands‑on experience with EASA Part‑CAMO, Part‑145 and Part‑147 environments.
• Proven interaction with aviation authorities and external auditors.
• Strong knowledge of SMS, compliance monitoring, aviation quality systems, auditing techniques and human‑factors principles.
