Transportation Supervisor EMEA

About the role

The Transportation Supervisor EMEA will lead the European and MEA distribution network, ensuring on‑time, in‑full deliveries while controlling costs and maintaining regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Warehousing and Transportation Manager EMEA, you will oversee end‑to‑end shipment processes and develop the shipping/logistics team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and continuously optimise the European & MEA distribution network for reliable, efficient, and compliant transport operations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for transport companies and freight forwarders, handling carrier performance, freight rate negotiations and bi‑annual business reviews.
• Lead the logistics team through staffing, recruitment, training, performance management and continuous skills development.
• Resolve day‑to‑day transportation disruptions, approve rush delivery requests and implement corrective action plans.
• Own freight and distribution cost management, including monthly stewardship, reporting, analysis and providing cost data for pricing decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying, proposing and implementing enhancements to logistics processes, systems and network design.
• Ensure full compliance with international transportation, customs and distribution regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing transportation or logistics networks across Europe and the Middle East/Africa.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience developing and managing a logistics team.
• Demonstrated capability in carrier relationship management and freight rate negotiations.
• Experience in cost stewardship, reporting and analysis to support business decisions.
• Ability to proactively resolve operational disruptions and implement corrective actions.
