Tax Accountant – Officer 1 (Luxembourg)

About the role

This position offers a unique opportunity to join a fast‑growing private‑equity fund administration provider in Luxembourg. Reporting to the Tax Manager/Supervisor, you will support the Tax Department in maintaining accurate tax data and preparing VAT and other tax returns.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date tax data, support year‑end processes and manage tax documentation.
• Assist tax supervisors in preparing VAT and other tax returns.
• Perform tax account reconciliations in collaboration with accountants.
• Update tax systems with financial and relevant data.
• Provide documents and explanations during audits.
• Collect information and clarify basic tax questions from accountants.
• Maintain tax calendars and support tax planning exercises.
• Carry out day‑to‑day administrative tasks as required.

Required profile

• BAC+3 in accounting, finance or a recognized accountancy qualification.
• Some knowledge of Luxembourg corporate laws and structures; PERE tax knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong team spirit.
• Result‑oriented, responsible and able to deliver quality work.
• Ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of tasks.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written; additional languages are an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• Familiarity with tax software or tax systems (advantageous).
