Fund Controller

About the role

Neuberger Berman AIFM seeks an experienced Fund Controller to oversee fund accounting, valuation, and operational processes for multiple Luxembourg funds, supporting new product launches and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support overall financial reporting, planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis for the AIFM.
• Participate actively in structuring and onboarding new funds and strategies.
• Manage liquidity, capital structure and ensure timely regulatory and statutory submissions.
• Oversee fund operational processes including capital calls, distributions, cash projections and liaison with administrators, depositaries, auditors and tax advisors.
• Prepare interim and annual financial statements and material for valuation committees.

Required profile

• Fluent English with high professional integrity and judgment.
• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, CFA or equivalent) with 10‑12 years fund accounting experience, preferably from a Big‑4 private‑equity practice or as a financial director in an AIFM.
• Strong knowledge of Lux GAAP; familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP is a plus.
• Self‑starter able to work independently while collaborating across finance and non‑finance teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Fund accounting expertise.
• Experience with ELTIF and Evergreen products and monthly NAV cycles (preferred).
