Fund Controller

About the role

Neuberger Berman AIFM is seeking an experienced Fund Controller to oversee fund accounting, valuation, and operational processes for multiple Luxembourg funds, supporting new product launches and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support overall financial reporting, planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis for the AIFM.
• Participate in structuring and onboarding new funds and strategies, managing liquidity and capital structure.
• Ensure timely regulatory and statutory financial submissions.
• Oversee fund operational processes including capital calls, distributions, expense payments and cash projections.
• Prepare interim and annual financial statements and manage monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting.

Required profile

• Fluent in English with a qualified accounting designation (ACCA, CPA, CFA or equivalent).
• 10‑12+ years of fund accounting experience, preferably in a Big 4 private‑equity practice or as a financial director within an AIFM.
• Strong knowledge of Lux GAAP; familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP is a plus.
• High integrity, discretion, entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently while collaborating with finance and non‑finance teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ELTIF and Evergreen products and monthly NAV cycles (preferred).
