Tax Accountant (Officer 1) – Luxembourg

About the role

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast‑growing private‑equity fund administration service provider in Luxembourg. The Officer 1 – Tax Accountant will work within the Tax Department, reporting to the manager/supervisor, and will be responsible for reviewing tax provisions and preparing VAT and other tax returns.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date tax data and support year‑end processes.
• Assist tax supervisors in preparing VAT and other tax returns.
• Perform tax account reconciliations in collaboration with accountants.
• Update tax systems with financial and relevant data.
• Provide documentation and explanations during audits.
• Collect information and clarify basic tax questions from accountants.
• Maintain tax calendars and support tax planning exercises.
• Carry out day‑to‑day administrative tasks as required.

Required profile

• BAC+3 in accounting, finance or a recognised accountancy qualification.
• Some knowledge of Luxembourg corporate laws and structures; private‑equity tax knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong team spirit.
• Result‑orientated, responsible and committed to delivering quality work.
• Ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of responsibilities.
• Strong organisational skills and a “can‑do” attitude.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written); additional languages are an asset.
