Space Systems Engineer – 6‑Month Contract

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Space Systems Engineer to join a cutting‑edge space technology company in Luxembourg on a 6‑month contract, with strong potential for extension or permanent placement as new programmes launch. You will work on robotic systems for on‑orbit servicing, lunar and Mars surface exploration, and solar array drive mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Capture, validate, and manage requirements with full traceability.
• Develop test plans and oversee verification activities in line with ECSS standards.
• Define system architecture, CONOPS, and conduct technical trade‑off analyses.
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout the programme lifecycle.
• Provide technical liaison to customers and produce comprehensive documentation.

Required profile

• Direct experience in space systems engineering.
• Full V‑lifecycle exposure (Phase A to E) and familiarity with ECSS standards.
• Proficiency with requirements‑management tools such as Jama or DOORS.
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in space systems engineering.
• Strong written and spoken English.
