Senior System Defect Resolution Engineer

About the role

Join a leading global player in sustainable automotive technologies as a Senior System Defect Resolution Engineer. You will be based in Luxembourg for a 9‑month contract, working on cutting‑edge e‑mobility projects and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to resolve complex power‑electronics defects.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse returned parts and identify root causes of defects in power‑electronic systems.
• Define and drive system‑level defect‑resolution strategies.
• Coordinate hardware, software and testing teams to implement solutions.
• Plan, execute and analyse advanced test campaigns (bench, HiL, vehicle level).
• Participate in technical reviews and customer discussions.
• Act as the technical interface with clients for defect‑resolution topics.
• Track, manage and report defects using JIRA and KPI monitoring.
• Support occasional business travel (up to 25%).

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Automotive, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in automotive system development, preferably in power electronics.
• Strong understanding of hardware, software and vehicle system interactions.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical topics to resolution.
• Customer‑oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
