Senior SPV Accountant – Luxembourg

About the role

We are seeking a Senior SPV Accountant to join the SPV Administration team of a leading private equity firm focused on infrastructure investments. Based in Luxembourg, you will work closely with the accounting manager and Head of SPV Administration, handling a portfolio of special purpose vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate day‑to‑day bookkeeping for SPVs, covering acquisitions, disposals, financing, accruals, operating expenses and quarterly reporting packages.
• Prepare annual financial statements in line with Luxembourg GAAP and coordinate audit processes.
• Perform weekly cash reconciliations and manage invoice payments with the accounts payable team.
• Liaise with internal teams (Funds, Tax, Legal, Compliance, Deal) and external parties such as auditors and depositary banks to support investment and divestment transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of corporate tax, VAT and withholding tax returns.
• Produce monthly and quarterly BCL reports.
• Participate in process‑improvement initiatives to boost operational efficiency and reporting quality.
• Support ad‑hoc projects as required.

Required profile

• Accounting qualification or degree in a finance‑related discipline.
• 5‑7 years of experience as an SPV Accountant or in a comparable role within investment funds, private equity, real estate or financial services.
• Strong understanding of SPV structures, Luxembourg GAAP and related reporting requirements.
• High attention to detail, deadline‑driven mindset and ability to build relationships with stakeholders and auditors.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with investment‑management systems such as eFront, Investran or Allvue.
• Knowledge of PowerBI is advantageous.
