Senior Sales Director – Private Markets Fintech

About the role

Sonata One is seeking a senior, network‑led commercial professional to drive new business across the global private markets ecosystem. The role focuses on acquiring top‑tier General Partners and a broader client base, acting as a strategic hunter who engages both economic and technical buyers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and win new logos among General Partners, private credit platforms, real asset managers, venture capital firms, secondaries investors, and fund‑of‑funds.
• Leverage an existing network to engage senior stakeholders such as CFOs, Finance Directors, Heads of Operations, Compliance, Investor Relations, and Finance Transformation leaders.
• Shape adoption of next‑generation infrastructure, promoting standardisation, efficiency, and liquidity across private markets.
• Close deals with both technical buyers (Fund Operations, Finance Transformation, Middle Office, Fund Accounting, Systems/Technology) and economic buyers (CFO, Group Finance leadership).
• Collaborate with internal product and support teams to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing client success.

Required profile

• Proven track record selling into the private‑market ecosystem, including General Partners, mid‑market and emerging managers, secondaries platforms, and institutional investors.
• Established network with senior decision‑makers across fund managers and related service providers.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and close with both technical and economic buyers.
• Strong understanding of private‑market operations, finance transformation, and regulatory compliance.
