Senior Research and Strategy Officer

About the role

The European Investment Fund (EIF) is looking for a Senior Research and Strategy Officer to join its Finance and Strategy Office in Luxembourg. The role supports the EIF’s strategic development by analysing market trends, conducting applied research, and contributing to corporate strategy initiatives that align with EIB Group priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse market trends and needs across EIF products through applied research and studies.
• Manage and analyse internal and external datasets to inform strategic decisions.
• Support the Corporate Strategy unit by driving institutional alignment and high‑impact cross‑functional initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Strategy Office, other EIF services, EIB Group counterparts, and external stakeholders active in SME and innovation financing.
• Report to the Head of Division, Corporate Strategy and Market Assessment.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in strategic analysis, market assessment or research within a financial or investment environment.
• Ability to work closely with internal teams and external partners.
• Strong communication skills for presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
