Junior Corporate Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Corporate Accountant to join a multinational conglomerate operating across retail, energy, infrastructure and telecommunications. Working closely with the Senior Finance Manager, you will ensure accurate financial processing, support business insights, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full Accounts Payable cycle: raise purchase orders, match and post supplier invoices (≈30/month) and run monthly AP batches.
• Prepare payment request forms, ensure compliance with internal controls, contracts and PO requirements.
• Execute end‑to‑end payment processes and coordinate with Treasury for approvals.
• Process monthly intercompany recharges for Global IT and service contracts, allocate costs and respond to queries.
• Record incoming payments, create journal entries and perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly accrual reports, trial balance reviews and balance‑sheet reconciliations with supporting schedules.
• Produce quarterly financial reporting packages and operational reports for Luxembourg entities.
• Submit VAT returns, follow up on payments and refunds.
• Assist in budget preparation, quarterly forecasting and Global IT budgeting activities.
• Maintain recurring payment schedules, project codes and ensure accurate cost allocations.

Required profile

• Fluent English speaker.
• Part‑qualified in a relevant accountancy qualification.
• Strong attention to detail, high integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
• Proactive, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Oracle (or similar financial system).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
