Senior Relationship Manager Southern Europe

About the role

HSBC is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager for Southern Europe to join its Private Bank in Luxembourg. The role focuses on building and managing a profitable portfolio of Italian ultra‑high‑net‑worth (UHNW) clients, supporting the growth of the private banking business across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Source, develop and proactively manage a portfolio of Italian UHNW clients.
• Achieve personal financial targets, including AUM growth, new net money (NNM) and return on assets (RoA).
• Maintain a dynamic pipeline and refer client solutions to other HSBC businesses.
• Coordinate collaboration with Corporate Banking across Europe.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, acting as an ambassador for HSBC Group.
• Conduct regular client meetings and portfolio reviews with Investment Counsellors.
• Partner with Product Specialists, Investment Counsellors and Credit Advisers to deepen relationships and expand product share.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Private or Commercial Banking, preferably with UHNW clients.
• Proven track record of new client acquisition and business growth.
• Solid understanding of private banking industry and investment products.
• High conduct standards, risk awareness and familiarity with MiFID regulation.
• Fluency in English and Italian; French is an advantage.
