Senior Manager, Employee Relations

About the role

The Director, Employee Relations is a strategic HR position responsible for shaping and executing global employee‑relations and compliance policies. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures fair, consistent and legally compliant practices across the organisation while supporting business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of global employee‑relations policies and social dialogue initiatives.
• Advise on complex employee‑relations issues, investigations and conflict resolution.
• Partner with Legal, HR Business Partners and social partners (works councils, unions) to ensure compliance with labour laws and internal policies.
• Drive change‑management and organisational restructuring from an employee‑relations perspective, including negotiations on collective agreements and structural changes.
• Establish and manage a European Works Council and coordinate local social‑dialogue activities in multiple countries.
• Oversee frameworks for harassment, discrimination prevention, whistle‑blower investigations, data‑privacy compliance and ethical conduct.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in employee‑relations, labour‑law compliance and social dialogue at a senior level.
• Proven ability to lead negotiations with works councils, unions and other social partners.
• Strong partnership skills with legal, HR Business Partners and senior leadership.
• Experience managing cross‑border HR initiatives and European Works Council activities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
