Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

HACA Partners is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join its Internal Audit team, serving a portfolio of regulated financial entities across Luxembourg and Europe. The role involves delivering high‑quality audit engagements, identifying risk exposures, and supporting clients in meeting governance and compliance objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audit missions for banks, asset managers, fintechs and other regulated institutions.
• Assess the adequacy of internal controls, risk management processes and compliance with regulatory frameworks such as AML/CFT, AIFMD, UCITS and MiFID II.
• Prepare audit reports, highlight control deficiencies and propose practical remediation actions.
• Follow‑up on corrective measures and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit methodologies and internal policies.
• Participate in the development of internal audit training programmes for the HACAdemy.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Internal Audit, Governance, Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in internal audit or internal control within the financial sector (banks, asset management, fintech, etc.).
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Excellent communication skills in English and French.

Required skills

• Knowledge of internal control frameworks and financial institution governance.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (AML/CFT, AIFMD/UCITS, MiFID II).
