Senior Fund Tax Compliance Specialist (International)

About the role

We are seeking a senior tax compliance professional to support the fund operations of an international Swiss bank’s asset management division in Zurich. The role focuses on ensuring both CRS and U.S. tax compliance for private‑equity funds and providing expert tax advice to internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain CRS and U.S. tax compliance for private‑equity fund structures, assessing risk and operational issues.
• Monitor tax legislation, evaluate its impact on portfolio investments and investors.
• Analyse distribution provisions in fund agreements and allocate distributions to investors.
• Interpret international tax rules for PFICs, CFCs and prepare related reporting (Forms 926, 8865, 8621, 5471).
• Conduct tax analyses for debt, equity and UBTI considerations of tax‑exempt clients.
• Provide investment‑related advice on U.S. tax systems and act as single point of contact for stakeholders.
• Track tax authority newsletters and directives, and implement regulatory changes with IT teams.
• Deliver training on U.S. tax concepts and collaborate on global tax projects.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law, Accounting or Taxation.
• Qualified tax professional or progressing towards qualification.
• Professional experience in asset management with U.S. or international tax, preferably private‑equity.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate tax‑related initiatives.
• Extensive experience calculating taxable income and allocations for private‑equity funds.
• Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns and Schedule K‑1.
• Strong time‑management and dynamic‑environment adaptability.
