Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

VASS is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its team in Luxembourg, supporting the European Investment Bank. The role involves managing enterprise platforms, automating processes, and ensuring reliable release and incident management.

Key responsibilities

• End‑to‑end management of on‑premise enterprise platforms.
• Design, implement and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Plan, coordinate and execute releases, handling incidents and root‑cause analysis.
• Perform risk and impact assessments for changes and deployments.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot Linux/Windows systems, databases and middleware.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with at least three years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of DevOps methodologies and ITIL best practices.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• DevOps tools: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub (including Copilot), Nexus, SonarQube, Jira.
• Scripting/programming: Bash, Groovy, Python, Java.
• Databases: Oracle, Sybase ASE.
• Web and middleware: Tomcat, Nginx, Apache, JBoss EAP.
• Version control and CI/CD ecosystems.
• Operating systems: Linux, Windows.
• ITIL incident and release management.
