Senior Auditor – Private Equity & Real Estate

About the role

EY is seeking a highly motivated Senior Auditor to join its Assurance team, focusing on Private Equity and Real Estate funds. You will lead audit engagements, manage client relationships, and mentor junior staff while delivering high‑quality audit services in complex financial reporting environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audits of Private Equity and Real Estate funds, SPVs, partnerships, and regulated entities under Lux GAAP and IFRS.
• Review and validate NAV calculations, fair‑value measurements, and portfolio valuations.
• Assess compliance with AIFMD, CSSF requirements and investor reporting obligations.
• Apply deep knowledge of investment structures, consolidation, carried interest, and waterfall calculations.
• Translate audit strategy into tailored procedures using EY’s Global Audit Methodology.
• Develop and supervise a team of Assistants, ensuring high‑quality execution.
• Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and proactively address their needs.
• Coordinate on‑site fieldwork and ensure timely delivery of audit reports.
• Identify and manage audit risks, maintaining independence and integrity.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Audit or related field.
• 3–6 years of audit experience, preferably with Private Equity or Real Estate clients; Big 4 experience is a plus.
• Professional certification such as ACCA or CPA is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Lux GAAP.
