Senior Accountant – Financial Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a well‑established financial services provider in Luxembourg. The role involves managing a diverse client portfolio, overseeing the full accounting cycle, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and verify the accuracy of journal entries.
• Prepare financial reports, statements, and periodic VAT returns for both Luxembourg and France.
• Validate and file Luxembourg VAT returns (monthly, quarterly, annual) and French VAT returns (monthly, quarterly).
• Maintain consistency between accounting records, financial statements, and tax filings.
• Monitor legal formalities and regulatory submissions with relevant authorities.
• Liaise with banks, administrative bodies, and external auditors.
• Support and mentor two junior accountants and trainees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional accounting experience.
• Fluent in French and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Team player with initiative and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficient user of the Bob50 accounting software.
