Senior Accountant (Brazilian Portuguese) – Luxembourg

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant fluent in Brazilian Portuguese to support our international private bank’s Brazilian client base in Luxembourg. The role combines statutory reporting, regulatory compliance, and cross‑border coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver dedicated accounting services to the bank’s Brazilian clients.
• Prepare and oversee financial reporting in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Produce statutory financial statements under Brazilian GAAP and support reporting under LuxGAAP/IFRS.
• Monitor and control accounting activities as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments, external service providers, and auditors to ensure high‑quality standards.
• Liaise across the Group to coordinate accounting, controlling, and reporting tasks.
• Assist in implementing new systems to streamline and harmonise internal processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in banking, private banking, or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Brazilian GAAP and familiarity with other GAAPs and IFRS.
• Fluency in English and Brazilian Portuguese; additional languages are a plus.
• Proactive mindset, able to handle shifting priorities and work under pressure.
• ACC​A certification is a strong advantage.
