Sales Manager, Global Government – Southern Europe

About the role

The incumbent will drive SES Space & Defence’s business strategy across Italy, Spain and Portugal, targeting government and defence markets. The role focuses on identifying, qualifying and securing strategic opportunities to support sustainable growth in Southern Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse market trends, customer segmentation and competitor activity to define target groups and sales plans.
• Execute the strategic business development plan, leveraging SES Managed and Sovereign solutions to accelerate adoption.
• Develop and manage a sales pipeline, providing visibility on indirect demand through partners and channels.
• Build and nurture strategic partnerships and account plans with key government customers.
• Lead proposal efforts, position solutions effectively and meet/exceed sales targets from lead generation to project fulfillment.

Required profile

• University degree, preferably in legal, commercial or technical fields.
• At least 10 years of experience working with public institutions and governments, especially in defence or security.
• Fluency in English and Italian, Spanish or Portuguese; additional European languages are a plus.
• Mandatory NATO/EU Secret clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
