Robotics Engineer – Bilingual (English/French) – Luxembourg

About the role

We are seeking a Robotics Engineer to join ALTEN’s Luxembourg team, working on cutting‑edge in‑orbit services for space customers. The role combines development of core robotic technologies with simulation, testing and delivery of complete solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop core robotic technologies for in‑orbit services such as capture, docking, inspection, refueling, repair, life‑extension and assembly.
• Support the development of advanced robotics simulation and testing capabilities.
• Contribute to the definition of modular and scalable robotics products.
• Deliver robotic solutions to key programs while meeting schedule, cost and performance requirements.
• Define and execute validation, verification and test plans.
• Interface with customers, partners and subcontractors.
• Support proposal writing and robotics‑related business development activities.
• Program robotics applications.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc in Aerospace, Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Robotics, Embedded Electronics or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in robotics, mechatronics or embedded electrical engineering.
• Fluency in English; French is an asset depending on the project.
• Strong understanding of robotics foundations and system‑level debugging.
• Ability to work across the full robotics lifecycle, from concept to testing.
• Comfortable interacting with diverse stakeholders.
