Robot Software Engineer

About the role

Gulliver Luxembourg is seeking a Robot Software Engineer to join its R&D team on the Fausto Project. You will develop the core software that enables humanoid robots to move, perceive, and interact with their environment, working closely with AI specialists and product owners.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement software modules for robot control, navigation, and manipulation.
• Integrate computer‑vision, perception and AI algorithms into robot behaviours.
• Develop motion‑planning, real‑time control and human‑robot interaction logic.
• Maintain and extend ROS / ROS 2 based components.
• Perform hardware‑software integration from sensor bring‑up to task execution.
• Validate software in simulation environments (Gazebo, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo) and on physical robot platforms.
• Contribute to software architecture, code reviews and team best practices.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Robotics, Automation, Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Solid knowledge of ROS / ROS 2.
• Experience with at least one area such as robotics kinematics, control systems, motion planning, SLAM or computer vision.
• Familiarity with robotic simulation tools (Gazebo, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, PyBullet, etc.).
• Understanding of AI technologies (LLMs, vision models, deep‑learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow) and ability to integrate them.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
