Regulatory Strategy & Government Relations Intern

About the role

Join Clearstream Banking, the international central securities depository of Deutsche Börse Group, as a Regulatory Strategy & Government Relations Intern. You will support the Group’s regulatory and political initiatives, gaining exposure to EU‑wide market reforms and capital‑market policy development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of projects focused on regulatory and political topics such as the EU settlement‑cycle reduction to T+1, the Savings and Investments Union, and the European Commission’s Market Integration and Supervision Package.
• Prepare background analyses, briefings, internal newsletters and presentations on policy or regulatory‑strategy matters.
• Conduct research on capital‑market regulation and policy concerning new or ongoing initiatives in Europe and worldwide.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in Law, Political Science, Business or Finance, or graduated within the last six months.
• Strong interest in political and regulatory issues with knowledge of EU institutions and legislative procedures.
• Quick learner with structured working methods, excellent drafting abilities and a proactive approach to information gathering.
• Fluent written and spoken English; German or French is a plus.
