Regulatory Services Consultant / Senior Consultant

About the role

Wavestone is seeking a Consultant or Senior Consultant to support financial institutions undergoing major regulatory and digital transformations. You will work at the intersection of business, regulation, and technology to help clients strengthen compliance frameworks, modernise their technology landscape, and improve operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients in assessing, designing and implementing compliance and regulatory transformation programmes.
• Analyse regulatory requirements and translate them into business and operational impacts.
• Contribute to digital transformation initiatives, including process optimisation, automation, data governance and technology enablement.
• Participate in the implementation of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) frameworks.
• Conduct business analysis, requirements gathering and stakeholder workshops.
• Support project‑management activities such as planning, risk management, reporting and coordination across workstreams.
• Assist clients in improving operational processes and internal controls.
• Prepare client deliverables, presentations and executive reports.
• Monitor regulatory and market developments relevant to the financial services industry.
• Participate in business development, proposal writing and thought‑leadership activities (Senior Consultant level).

Required profile

• Experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, AML, data protection or related areas within the financial sector.
• Strong analytical abilities and capacity to translate complex regulations into actionable business solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
