Regulatory Affairs Intern – Capital Markets

About the role

The Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Intern to support its Capital Markets team. This six‑month internship will give you hands‑on experience in monitoring and interpreting European and national regulations that affect securities trading and sustainable finance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on legal and regulatory frameworks such as MiFID II/R, MAR, Prospectus Regulation, Transparency Directive, Benchmarks Regulation, CSD Regulation, and emerging sustainable and digital finance rules.
• Track developments in international, European and domestic law to anticipate impacts on LuxSE activities and identify new business opportunities.
• Assist in drafting internal policies, position papers, and responses to regulatory consultations.
• Support advocacy efforts through industry associations and maintain dialogue with local, European and international authorities.
• Participate in internal steering committees, working groups and project teams.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent certification in Law (or close to graduation).
• At least six months of internship or consulting experience in a law firm or consultancy, preferably with exposure to capital markets regulation.
• Interest in digital and sustainable finance regulation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; French is a plus.
• Strong sense of responsibility, organization, initiative and ability to work under pressure.
