Real Estate Accountant – Property Investment & Financial Reporting

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Accountant to join a fast‑growing real estate investment platform in Luxembourg. You will be responsible for the financial management and reporting of a diverse portfolio of European property assets, working closely with senior finance professionals and investment teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate accounts for real‑estate investment entities and SPVs.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and management accounts.
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations, journal entries and financial statements.
• Assist with IFRS and/or Luxembourg GAAP reporting and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisers and other service providers.
• Monitor cash movements, bank reconciliations, inter‑company transactions and accruals.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and the preparation of property‑level and investment‑level financial information.
• Contribute to financial information for senior management and investment stakeholders.
• Assist the finance team with acquisitions, disposals, refinancing and other real‑estate transactions.
• Help improve and automate financial processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting, audit or financial reporting, preferably within real estate, private equity, fund accounting or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS and/or Luxembourg GAAP.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict reporting deadlines.
• Fluency in English; French and/or German are a plus.
• Relevant accounting qualification or progress towards ACCA, ACA, CPA or OEC.
