R&D Design Technician – Mechanical Design (Luxembourg)

About the role

Rotarex is looking for an R&D Design Technician to join its research and development team in Lintgen, Luxembourg. You will play a key role in creating and improving industrial products through precise 2D and 3D design, technical documentation, and hands‑on prototyping.

Key responsibilities

• Produce 2D and 3D designs that meet customer specifications, supplier requirements, and internal ideas.
• Draft new products and modify existing ones using CATIA V5.
• Perform simple manual operations such as drilling, threading, and assembling hydraulic and electromechanical components.
• Gather material, dimension, and form information and record it on design files.
• Maintain the R&D database, ensuring proper documentation and regular updates.
• Support purchase follow‑up for prototype parts, SAP order tracking, and basic calculations.
• Assist in developing technical files and liaise with certification bodies.
• Participate in training to continuously improve technical skills.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge in mechanical design.
• Good organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience with the 3D CAD system CATIA V5.
• Willingness to follow Rotarex procedures and attend training.
