Buyer – General Industrial Services

About the role

The Buyer for General Industrial Services will support ArcelorMittal's procurement organisation across multiple hubs, focusing on internal transport, handling, packaging, warehousing, cleaning, scaffolding and facility management services. You will work closely with internal customers and the Lead Buyer to ensure strategic sourcing, cost reduction and business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in strategic procurement activities for the General Industrial Services sub‑category across the cluster.
• Build transparency of spend, drive cost reduction and deliver savings against KPI targets.
• Collaborate with internal customers, Lead Users and Lead Buyer on market research, price benchmarks and supplier profiles.
• Execute supplier selection, negotiation and contracting for mills and sites.
• Maintain supplier relationships, monitor contract compliance and report performance.
• Contribute to transversal projects and best‑practice sharing across clusters.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
• Previous experience in a purchasing team.
• Fluent in French and English; additional European language is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with comfort handling numbers.
• Technical knowledge of contracts, project management and negotiation.
• Leadership and communication abilities.
• Interest in innovative industry trends and market analysis.
• Familiarity with quality management standards such as ISO 9001 is advantageous.
