Production Planning Analyst – Supply Chain

About the role

The Production Planning Analyst joins Amazon's Production Planning Team to optimize capacity across fulfillment centers. You will develop data‑driven strategies that balance staffing costs with warehouse throughput, supporting Amazon’s mission of customer‑centric excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute short‑, medium‑ and long‑term operational plans to optimize staffing and capacity costs.
• Forecast warehouse staffing and capacity metrics using statistical modeling to enable collaborative decision‑making.
• Maintain and analyze warehouse processing capacity data, identify trends, root‑cause deviations, and recommend improvement opportunities.
• Present insights and actionable recommendations to cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global teams across Europe, including operations, HR, finance, supply chain, transportation, and workforce staffing.
• Support production planning initiatives and cost‑optimization projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Fluent written and spoken English (C1 level or above).
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into business actions.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (pivot tables, macros, INDEX/MATCH, VLOOKUP, VBA, data links).
