Process Engineer

About the role

OffWorld is seeking a motivated Process Engineer to join its Luxembourg City team. You will work on cutting‑edge electrochemical research and development projects that support lunar, asteroid and Martian resource extraction.

Key responsibilities

• Support design and optimisation of lunar icy regolith processing and environmental control and life support (ECLSS) systems.
• Apply materials‑engineering knowledge to select durable, space‑qualified materials.
• Analyse, simulate and optimise processes for volatile extraction, sorption, water treatment and electrolysis.
• Validate performance of lunar regolith processing and ECLSS systems, providing data‑driven improvement recommendations.
• Identify and validate processing of terrestrial materials compatible with the volatile‑extraction roadmap.
• Maintain detailed documentation and prepare technical reports for cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in process engineering, preferably with a materials‑science background.
• Prior experience in the space industry is a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of process engineering principles and methodologies.
